Explain what is the purpose of government?
-The fundamental purpose of government is the maintenance of basic security and public order. Government provides a system in which individuals give a portion of their freedom in order to pursue needs and wants without the fears that are inherent in a state of anarchy
How do various theories explain the origin of government?
-There were four theories of government: the force theory, evolutionary rule, divine right, and social contract. They explain the origins of government by showing diffferent opinions of philosophers and how they believed a government should rule based on the behaviors of the human race.
Which theory is used in the United States and why?
-The theory used in the United States is Social Contract because we are ruled by the United States Constitution, which protects our basic human rights as American citizens.
